Online education is here to stay. Noting their generation’s interest in accessing learning videos, five Harvard School of Dental Medicine DMD students teamed up to create an online platform with step-by-step video tutorials for dental procedures to supplement traditional clinical and in-class learning. “My Dental Key” was launched in November 2020 with 30 instructional videos, and by March 2021 had more than 3,000 users and 350 subscribers.

According to The Harvard Gazette, the team members have published two articles in the Journal of Dental Education and been invited to present at ADEA’s annual national meeting on their program. Read more about how they developed this initiative and their plans for its future here.
