ATLANTA—The CS 3500 intraoral scanner from Carestream Dental has been awarded a bronze 2015 Edison Award in the category of Dental 3D Printers and Services by the internationally renowned Edison Awards™. “It’s exciting to see companies like Carestream Dental continuing Thomas Edison’s legacy of challenging conventional thinking,” said Frank Bonafilia, executive director of the Edison Awards. “Edison Awards recognizes the game-changing products and services, and the teams that brought them to consumers.”

The award was announced April 23, 2015, at the Edison Awards Annual Gala, held in the historic ballroom of The Capitale in New York City. Joe Andrasko, regional product manager for CS Solutions, was on hand to accept the award on Carestream Dental’s behalf.

“We’re very proud of the way that the CS 3500 is changing restorations and appliance fabrication in the field of dentistry,” said Ed Shellard, DMD, vice president, global sales and marketing, for Carestream Dental. “It’s an honor to have the scanner recognized for its innovation; it sets the bar high as we continue to advance this award-winning technology."

The CS 3500 allows practitioners to easily acquire true color and 2D and 3D images.
