CLEVELAND, Ohio – Thanks to a $265,000 grant from the US Health Resources and Service Administration, beginning in January, some new patients at the Case Western Reserve University’s School of Dental Medicine clinic will also be tested for diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, anemia, and HIV, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. Patients may also have the opportunity to get flu, pneumonia, and tetanus shots as well as treatment for minor ailments such as strep throat and sinus infections. They will continue to pay for dental care, but the medical care will be free as the HRSA will pick up the tab.
