University of Maryland School of Dentistry will present a CE course June 9 titled “Obstructive Sleep Apnea and Implications in Dentistry.” Presented by Eung-Kwon Pae, DDS, MSc, PhD, the course will discuss obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), describe the procedures for diagnosis, and present treatment suggestions for patients suffering from OSA.
Dr. Eung-Kwon Pae received his dental degree from Yonsei University, Seoul, Korea, and his certificate in orthodontics from the University of Connecticut. He is currently an associate professor and chairman of the Department of Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. Dr. Pae has researched obstructive sleep apnea throughout his entire academic career.
Participants will also learn about the latest research regarding OSA and its pathophysiology. The course will focus on the rationale behind each oral appliance and discuss treatment of OSA in adults and children.
