AACD Learning Series to Focus on Implementing and Restoring Implants

Posted on Wednesday, October 9, 2013

MADISON, WI (PRWEB) November 7, 2012 -- Implementing and restoring implants will be the focus of the next installment of AACD Unplugged, featuring Dr. David Little, January 25-26 in Madison, WI.

AACD Unplugged is a new learning experience series designed to give dental professionals hands-on training in a small-group environment. Dr. Little’s presentation, “Charting the Course For Implementing and Restoring Implants,” will educate dental professionals about the single tooth implant as well as treating the edentulous patient.

He will discuss how highly esthetic restorations that replicate the contour of natural dentition are developed—from using diagnostic models, digital radiology, and CBCT scans, to incorporating CAD-CAM and planning software. Additionally, proven strategies and techniques to secure patient acceptance of dental implant treatments will be outlined.

“Dr. Little will teach skills that will be beneficial for any dentist, regardless of experience level with implants,” said Kelly Radcliff, AACD Director of Professional Education. “We expect that many attendees will be especially interested in the restorative aspect of his workshop.”

Attendance for AACD Unplugged is extremely limited. Tuition for AACD members is $1,100 and $1,250 for non-members. Fees include all course materials and some meals at the AACD Executive Office.

“AACD Unplugged is an educational experience you won’t get anywhere else,” said Ron Goodlin, AACD President. “As a dental professional, you’ll benefit from the small instructor-to-student ratio, where you can collaborate with others, and work on-on-one with the educator. All of your questions will get answered—no big lecture halls means that the focus is always on you—the attendee.”

The AACD Executive Office is located in downtown Madison, which is easily accessible for attendees and offers many dining, entertainment, and lodging options within walking distance.

The AACD Unplugged series will continue throughout 2013, with sessions scheduled for March, July, and September on topics include educator training, smile design and photography, and veneers.
