QUARTZ SPLINT® “Uni-directional” reinforcement fibers

RTD, the company world-famous for its fiber-reinforced endodontic posts, has applied its expertise to a line of pre-impregnated reinforcement fibers called QUARTZ SPLINT. Offered in four varieties, this product is designed for a multitude of clinical applications.

QS Uni-directional is the strongest of the four. It is specially designed to reinforce resin or acrylic bridges and splint mobile teeth. The “fiber-augmented fiber post” technique is particularly effective with this product.

QUARTZ SPLINT has been independently proven to offer flexural strength that’s superior to glass and polyethylene fiber products; this increases the strength of the composite by 300%. Special, light-proof packaging protects the product from ambient light, this permits safe storage of unused material for subsequent treatments.

RTD’s introductory kits include an unfilled resin to re-wet fibers, a shaded “flowable” for covering the splint, and refill packages to replenish supply.
