Snoop is a propylene glycol-based caries detector that distinguishes between outer infected and inner affected dentin and assists the dentist in identifying and removing the infected carious dentin. The propylene glycol-based caries detector stains soft, non-vital outer infected dentin in 10 seconds.
This carious dentin cannot remineralize and should be removed. 10-second application does not stain inner affected dentin which is vital, sensitive, not infused with bacteria, capable of remineralizing, and which should not be removed.
