Posted on Tuesday, January 2, 2024

The Alpha Omega Foundation US is pleased to announce the recent appointment of Dr. Allen Ressler, DDS, to the Foundation Board. As a dedicated Alpha Omega International Dental Society member, Dr. Ressler will bring a wealth of experience and a global perspective to the Foundation.

“We are confident that his extensive knowledge and unwavering commitment to dental excellence will be invaluable in advancing the Foundation's mission,” stated Dr. Marc Rothman, Chairman of the Board.

Dr. Ressler's dentistry journey commenced with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1970 from New York University. He further honed his skills through an intensive general practice residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, successfully completing the program in 1971. Subsequently, he established a thriving private practice in Miami Beach and obtained a dental license in New York, showcasing his dedication to serving patients across multiple states.

Since 1971, Dr. Ressler has maintained a longstanding affiliation with Mount Sinai Medical Center, playing a pivotal role in the general practice dental residency program. His instrumental contributions led to his co-directorship of the program from 2002 to 2004. Concurrently, Dr. Ressler actively engaged in teaching oral diagnosis and treatment planning at Miami Children’s Hospital from 1971 to 1981.

Dr. Ressler's involvement with the Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity began during his dental school years. He was influenced by family members who were active Alpha Omegans - Jacob Rosenbluth, NYU 1918 (grandfather) and Morty Rosenbluth, NYU 1946 (uncle). Over the years, he held various officer positions on the executive board, showcasing his dedication to the fraternity's mission. In 1997, Dr. Ressler expanded his philanthropic impact by joining the Alpha Omega US Foundation board, eventually assuming the role of Secretary of the Alpha Omega Foundation in 2010. Notably, he served as Chair of the US board between 2018 and 2019.

The Alpha Omega Foundation board looks forward to learning from Dr. Ressler’s extensive experience and leadership to elevate our contributions to dental health, education, and care.
