Oral Reconstruction Foundation Cancels Global Symposium 2020 in New York

Posted on Friday, April 24, 2020

The Oral Reconstruction (OR) Foundation announced today that it canceled the Oral Reconstruction Global Symposium 2020, planned to take place in New York City from April 30 to May 2. Since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, the health and safety of the Global Symposium attendees has always been the Foundation’s top priority.

“After careful consideration, we have made the decision to cancel the Global Symposium 2020”, said Dr. Alex Schär, Chief Executive Officer and Member of the Board of Directors of the Oral Reconstruction Foundation. “The OR Foundation was looking forward to its Global Symposium and to meet with professionals from around the world but in view of the uncertainties COVID-19 might still provide in one year from now, it did not seem feasible to continue with our plans. As a result, we have made the decision to move the symposium to 2022.”

Efforts are ongoing to establish an attractive new Symposium for the year 2022. In the meantime, the OR Foundation will inspire excellence in oral reconstruction and share new knowledge and insights through national events as well as online education.
