In recognition of the First Annual Oral-Systemic Health Week, NextLevel Practice and Partners in Complete Health (PICH) have teamed with New York University and members of its nursing, dental and medical faculty to hold a significant on-campus event. On October 19, 4:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m., the partnership will present at the Colleges of Nursing and Dentistry a major screening of Say Ahh!, the world’s first documentary on oral health, produced by NextLevel Practice and distributed through its alliance with PICH.
Say Ahh! A Film about Fighting the World’s Largest Cavity follows the true stories of six families as they discover the real-life impact that their oral health is having on their lives. The message: mouth and body are connected, and the source of getting people to achieve and maintain good overall health can be found in the mouth. Say Ahh! is an attempt to raise awareness and connect the dots for the medical community and the public alike.
The film is presented in partnership with the NYU College of Nursing, NYU College of Dentistry, NYU School of Medicine and NYU’s Student-led Interprofessional Education Group (IPEG); made possible with support from Partners in Complete Health and its National Director Dr. Heather Lucas; and with support from OralDNA Labs, which offers salivary diagnostics and patient wellness through its advanced periodontal and HPV DNA tests.
Open to students, faculty and administrators of the NYU nursing, dental and medical communities, the event will provide 1.5 hours of CE credits for nursing, dentists and hygienists.

Gary Kadi, CEO of NextLevel Practice, producer of Say Ahh! This year’s recipient of the American Academy of Oral Systemic Health’s Humanitarian Award, Kadi is known for his positive contributions to the lives of dentists and dental teams across the U.S., Puerto Rico and the Bahamas. Kadi has been a devoted thought leader for the entire dental community for two decades.

Dr. Mark S. Wolff, Professor and Chair of the Department of Cariology and Comprehensive Care and Associate Dean for Pre-doctoral Clinical Education at the New York University College of Dentistry. Dr. Wolff has designed, developed and implemented an extensive curriculum in caries risk assessment and has designed dental information systems to assist dental schools in monitoring the risk of the entire dental patient population.

Dr. Madeleine Lloyd, PhD, MS, FNP-BC, MHNP-BC, Clinical Director, Nursing Faculty Practice, NYU College of Nursing. Dr. Lloyd has pioneered a model for the integration of oral health in primary care practice. Dr. Lloyd is an adjunct professor in the Colleges of Nursing and Dentistry Faculty.

Dr. Jennifer Adams, Clinical Instructor of Medicine and Associate Director of the NYU Primary Care Residency Program. A graduate of NYU School of Medicine, Dr. Adams completed her Primary Care residency training at NYU in 2003 and now practices and precepts at Gouverneur Diagnostic and Treatment Center.

The panel is being facilitated by the NYU College of Nursing Director of Oral Health Programs, Dr. Erin Hartnett and Dr. Judith Haber, The Ursula Springer Leadership Professor in Nursing.
