AADOM, NDA, OSAP Support OHA’s Fall for Smiles Campaign

Posted on Tuesday, November 11, 2014

CHICAGO, November 6, 2014 — According to a recent survey commissioned by Oral Health America

(OHA) and conducted by Harris Poll, low-income Americans, young adults and those living in urban areas

are more likely to have limited access to daily oral care items, making them more likely to skip some key

daily care activities. That is why the American Association of Dental Office Managers (AADOM), the

National Dental Association (NDA) and OSAP (Organization for Safety, Asepsis and Prevention) are

supporting OHA’s Fall for Smiles campaign, which educates Americans about the importance of

maintaining a healthy mouth through daily brushing and flossing, regular dental visits, eating healthy

foods and avoiding tobacco.

This year’s Fall for Smiles campaign is shining a light on the disparities that exist in this country when it

comes to oral health, encouraging all Americans to spread the message of the importance of oral health

to overall health. Thanks to the generous support of the campaign’s sponsors, including AADOM, the

NDA and OSAP, OHA is able reach hundreds of thousands of Americans with this simple yet important

message and offer free resources for anyone who wants to participate.
