CHICAGO (Dec. 13, 2012)—Registration is open now for the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) Annual Meeting & Exhibits, June 27 to 30, 2013, at the brand new Music City Center in Nashville, Tenn.

“This meeting will be a wonderful opportunity to experience the hottest topics in continuing education (CE), special networking events, an exhibit hall packed with the latest products and services, and a whole lot more,” says AGD President Jeffrey M. Cole, DDS, MBA, FAGD. “I’m looking forward to seeing you all in Music City this summer!”

The AGD has created a special capsule website offering comprehensive information about this year’s annual meeting. Visit www.agd.org/nashville to read the latest details about what the meeting has to offer, including:

More Than a Year’s Worth of CE

With a variety of lecture and hands-on participation courses from a global faculty of dental experts, the AGD 2013 Annual Meeting & Exhibits is the perfect opportunity for dental professionals to tune up their skills alongside thousands of other attendees from the U.S. and Canada.

Opening Session—“Death’s Acres: Life as a Forensic Anthropologist,” with keynote speaker William Bass III, PhD

Dr. Bass, a world-renowned forensic anthropologist, is the founder of the Forensic Anthropology Center at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, known as “The Body Farm,” and co-author of the best-selling Body Farm mystery novels.

Saturday Night Event—Presidential Concert: A Night at the Ryman Auditorium

The AGD will honor its newest Fellows, Masters, and Lifelong Learning and Service Recognition recipients during an intimate evening at this historic Nashville venue! Sponsored by the AGD Foundation, this event will feature a special musical guest (to be announced this spring), and proceeds will benefit the Interfaith Dental Clinic, a nonprofit that delivers comprehensive dental care to low-income individuals in middle Tennessee.

AGD members and nonmembers can take advantage of early bird rates by registering before April 26, 2013. Registration is free for all dental students, residents, and recent graduates.
