Brasseler’s Waters to be Honored at American College of Prosthodontists Conference

SAVANNAH, Ga. – Brasseler USA chairman, president and CEO Don L. Waters will be honored at the American College of Prosthodontists and ACP Education Foundation (ACPEF) annual 2013 Annual Session at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas on October 10. He will be recognized together with Robert Ganley, CEO of Ivoclar Vivadent AG, of Schaan, Lichtenstein as Honorary Directors of the ACP Education Foundation.

“We’re delighted to recognize Don Waters for his outstanding contribution to our organization and to prosthodontics,” said Nancy Deal Chandler, executive director of the American College of Prosthodontists and ACP Education Foundation. “His leadership, dedication and service are invaluable.”

Waters was named an Honorary Director of the ACPEF Education Foundation earlier this year.    He also serves on the Advisory Boards of the New York University College of Dentistry in New York and the UCLA College of Dentistry in Los Angeles.

A graduate of Leadership Savannah, Waters has an extensive legacy of community involvement and was appointed by Governor Nathan Deal in March 2013 to represent the First Congressional District of Georgia as a member of the Board of Regents for the University System of Georgia. He also serves as chair of the finance committee and a member of the board of directors for the Georgia Regents University Health System and as a Trustee Emeritus for the University of Georgia Foundation.

 

Locally, he serves as the chairman of the board of trustees for Union Mission, Inc., the Chatham County Hospital Authority and Sweetener Solutions, LLC. He is also a member of the board of directors for Coastal Bankshares, Inc. Over the years, he has served on boards for the United Way of the Coastal Empire, Savannah Economic Development Authority, Telfair Museums, Savannah Country Day School and Armstrong Atlantic State University Foundation.

 

Waters earned a J.D., cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law and a B.B.A. in Accounting, cum laude, from Armstrong Atlantic State University.
