HeyGears and Group 42 collaboratively supplied thousands of units of essential goods to support frontline healthcare personnel in Wuhan and Guangdong, China, to combat the coronavirus outbreak, including 50,000 N95 masks, 10,000 procedure masks, 2,000 vinyl gloves, 1,000 goggles, and 10,000 caps.
The first batch of medical supplies was shipped by air urgently from the United Arab Emirates on January 29. To help contain the virus, HeyGears and Group 42 will continue to utilize their healthcare resources across the globe to gather a higher volume of essential medical supplies for the frontline.
"As the virus emergency escalates, we feel compelled to make our expertise and resources available to those in need," says Peng Xiao, CEO of Group 42.
By leveraging its pioneering AI-focused healthcare practice, Group 42 also supported the authorities to detect and prevent the virus infection. In a collective effort, HeyGears and Group 42 are dedicated to curbing the spread of the virus.
"Wuhan is our family and we will spare no effort to help our family members return to their ordinary lives as quickly as possible." says Peiyan Gui, CEO and co-founder of HeyGears. "Working with Group 42 and our global healthcare partners, we will continue to leverage the global resources to support our community in need. Together, we will help Wuhan fight through the coronavirus."
