George “Yatz” G. Gundrum, BA, CDT, passed away the evening of Saturday, January 12, according to the National Association of Dental laboratories (NADL).

Gundrum was the co-owner of Gundrum Dental Labs Inc. in Cincinnati, Ohio. A statement posted on Facebook by NADL Chief Staff Executive Bennett Napier, CAE, said Gundrum had served for many years on the boards of both the Southeastern Conference of Dental Laboratories and the Ohio Dental Laboratory Association.

“He was a true friend to all who knew him,” Napier wrote.

Gundrum authored an article in the January 2019 issue of Inside Dental Technology, titled “Porcelain Furnaces in the Modern Dental Laboratory.”
