Dr. Jocelyne Feine to Kick Off International Digital Denture Symposium

Dental professionals from all over will come together October 27 to 28 in Baltimore, MD, to learn about the latest groundbreaking technologies, techniques, and materials on the new frontier of digital dentures at IDT’s International Digital Denture Symposium. Dr. Jocelyne Feine, world-renowned educator and researcher, will kick off the event with her keynote presentation titled, “Can New Dental Technologies Improve Oral Health-Related Quality of Life?”

Dr. Feine recognizes that new advances in health care technology continue to offer dental professionals innovative tools that have the potential to simplify and reduce the time and effort to achieve high-quality diagnostic and restorative outcomes for the edentulous and partially edentulous patient. But are these new technologies effective in producing the desired outcome for the edentate patient?

That is the question Dr. Jocelyne Feine—a leader in assessing patient-based therapeutic outcomes for those suffering from pain and tooth loss—will tackle in her presentation. She will demonstrate a Health Technology Assessment to explore whether these new technologies are beneficial for the patient and will improve their quality of life. She also considers the investment required to execute these technologies as well as the social and legal consequences of applying them.

As dental professionals who provide prosthetic devices designed to replace lost structure and restore function to improve the quality of life to patients, it is vitally important to understand the prosthetic issues important to patients’ oral health-related quality of life. It’s just as critical to know what solutions new technologies can offer to overcome the difficulties involved in the fabrication of oral prosthetics, and how these prosthetic devices can successfully replace lost structure and restore natural function.

Don’t wait. Register now for this and other presentations at the International Digital Denture Symposium that promise to reveal exciting new solutions launched at this meeting.
