A convenient new addition to its MDI Mini Dental Implants system, the 3M ESPE Graduated Torque Wrench gives dentists a torque and ratchet feature in one simple tool. With easy-to-read custom torque markings that provide a continuous readout, the graduated torque wrench helps maintain appropriate torque levels during the MDI placement procedure.
In addition to seamless compatibility with the 3M ESPE MDI Mini Dental Implant system, the graduated torque wrench’s standard 4 x 4 adapter with a rotational top can also accommodate MDI implant adapters and extensions, as well as multiple other implant systems. The tool covers a torque range of 10 to 70 Ncm, and is made of lightweight titanium and stainless steel, making it easy to clean and maintain.
The graduated torque wrench is a valuable addition to the full line of 3M ESPE’s MDI solutions. The MDI system consists of titanium alloy implants in diameters of 1.8mm, 2.1mm, 2.4mm and 2.9mm at lengths of 10mm, 13mm, 15mm and 18mm, coupled with O-ring retaining fixtures that are incorporated into the base of a patient’s denture. To hold dentures securely in place, the retaining fixture snaps over the ball-shaped head of the MDI, allowing the denture to gently rest on the patient’s gum tissue.
