Sending Patients Home with the Right Tools

Sally Kashani, DDS, on DenMat’s Rotadent ProCare® Toothbrush

After graduating from the University of California, Los Angeles, I completed 2 years of a general practice residency program at a US Department of Veterans Affairs hospital. During this time, I received extensive training in cosmetic, surgical, periodontal, and implant dentistry as well as in all other areas of restorative and general dentistry. In 2010, I opened my own practice in Toluca Lake, California. I am privileged to have a fun and unique patient population because of my location, which is close to many movie studios. I was introduced to DenMat's Rotadent ProCare® toothbrush after attending their Soft Tissue Management® course in 2014, and I began recommending it to my patients the following week.

1. Rotadent has been clinically proven to be as effective as brushing and flossing combined, removing 92% of plaque in the first minute and improving patient compliance. 2. The Rotadent toothbrush was designed to be an at-home extension of the prophy handpiece that is used to fight plaque and control disease during hygiene appointments. 3. Each Rotadent brush head has 4,577 proprietary MicroFilaments, making it ideal for absorbing oral medication and applying it more deeply into periodontal pockets and interproximally.
