TheraCem™

Simplicity and durability through cutting-edge chemistry

BISCO's next-generation resin cement combines the benefits of bonding with the simplicity of a traditional cementing protocol. TheraCem™ is a dual-cured, calcium- and fluoride-releasing, self-adhesive resin cement indicated for luting crowns, bridges, inlays, onlays, and all types of posts (both metal and fiber). Delivering a strong bond to zirconia and most substrates, along with easy clean up and high radiopacity, TheraCem offers clinicians reliable and durable cementation of indirect restorations.

The self-adhesive feature means no etching, along with no priming or bonding of prepared dental surfaces. This results in greater predictability in preparations with subgingival margins, where etchants or bonding agents may cause bleeding.

With TheraCem, a clean, prepped dentin or enamel surface is all that is needed to achieve excellent bond strengths, with the added benefit of sustained calcium and fluoride release. TheraCem also forms a strong bond to most substrates, including zirconia restorations, without the need for separate chemical primers. And with TheraCem's high radiopacity, the clinician can easily identify the restoration on a radiograph.

This next-generation cement is easy to clean up with hand instruments and floss. For deeper subgingival margins, the margins should be thoroughly inspected to ensure complete removal of excess cement.

Due to innovative chemistry, TheraCem achieves a high degree of chemical conversion, which ensures greater physical strength, without the need for refrigeration when it is not being used. TheraCem also has a high flexural and compressive strength to assist in the long-term retention of restorations. For clinicians, this means that peace of mind can be nearby and ready to use in every operatory.

Another unique feature of this innovative cement is that TheraCem's initial acidic pH in the self-adhesive process transitions to an alkaline pH in a matter of minutes.1

All of these time-saving features translate to decreased chair time and frustration for both clinicians and patients, not to mention a more economic procedure. TheraCem provides true simplicity and durability through cutting-edge chemistry.

"I just wanted to tell you what a great product you have in TheraCem," says Philip C. Wilkins, DMD. "It makes crown cementations quick and easy. And the best part, I don't get any patient complaints of sensitivity postoperatively. You have hit a home run with this one."

• Fluoride- and calcium-releasing
• Strong bond to zirconia and most substrates
