2016 Aruba Dental Conference

Seek tropical adventure while earning CE credits

The 2016 Aruba Dental Conference, sponsored by Clinician’s Choice and hosted at the luxurious Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino, Palm Beach, Aruba, will be held February 4 to 6, 2016. Participants can earn up to 14 continuing education (CE) credits. The clinically focused program features lectures from some of dentistry’s most respected key opinion leaders, each offering the latest information on esthetic and restorative dentistry.

Day 1 features Harald Heymann, DDS, MEd, speaking on the topic of “Adhesive & Esthetic Dentistry: Proven Solutions for Clinical Success.” This course is designed to provide general dentists, specialists, and dental assistants vital information on how to distinguish among the many types of adhesive systems, focusing on what works and what doesn’t. It will also address how to best use contemporary restoratives, including bulk-fill composites, resin-modified glass ionomer cements, sonic and thermoplastic posterior composite techniques, and more. Conservative clinical techniques for esthetic improvement, including tooth whitening and veneers, will also be discussed.

On Day 2, Parag Kachalia, DDS, will present “Crown & Bridge GPS: Navigating the Maze of Indirect Dentistry Today,” which focuses on advancements in all aspects of crown and bridge dentistry, ranging from provisional fabrication and post placement to CAD/CAM dentistry and the best practices of new age ceramics.

Day 3 features a choice of two lectures from highly regarded clinicians in their respective specialties. In the first option, Peter Z. Tawil, DMD, MS, will discuss “Endodontics: Revolution in Instrumentation and Management of Complications.” Ideal for general dentists who desire to perfect their knowledge in endodontics information, this course will explore the recent revolution in NiTi metallurgy, review the pros and cons of these new instruments, and address how to manage the potential complications with endodontic treatment.

The other option consists of two lectures, “Maxillofacial Injuries in Sports—Prevention, Diagnosis, and Treatment” and “Medical Emergencies in the Dental Office—Preparation, Prevention, and Management,” both presented by Glenn Maron, DDS. The maxillofacial injuries in sports lecture is designed to motivate dentists to become involved with local amateur and professional sports teams while also preparing the dentist to better treat sports-related dental injuries and understand the complex issue of sports concussions. The medical emergencies lecture is ideal for all dental staff, and will ensure that each staff member is fully prepared to deal with the most common medical emergencies that can occur in-office.

Lecture schedules provide conference participants plenty of time to rest and relax on Aruba’s beautiful white sand beaches, or indulge in adventures through snorkeling, wreck diving, windsurfing, and so much more. The Aruba Dental Conference promises top-notch education in a beautiful and memorable setting.
