Exceptional whitening results are achieved only when whitening gels are: fully potent; chemically influenced to produce a high percentage of free radicals (instead of simply oxygen and water); and are allowed extended time to penetrate deeply into the microstructure of teeth.

Heat, and even room temperature, cause all whitening gels to degrade during storage and shipping. As whitening gels degrade, hydrogen ions are produced. Those hydrogen ions are acid (pH = potential of Hydrogen). Whitening gels therefore become less potent, and more acidic during storage and shipping, resulting in poor results and increasing sensitivity and pain.

KöR Whitening is the first company to constantly refrigerate a full line of teeth whitening products from the moment of manufacture until they are received cold packed at the dental practice. Constant refrigeration virtually stops the breakdown of whitening gels, resulting in receipt of exceptionally potent gels by the dental practice. KöR’s refrigeration also eliminates the typical need for chemical stabilizers such as phosphoric acid, which can increase osmolarity of gels by as much as 11 times. That increased osmotic “pull” on dentinal tubular fluid further increases sensitivity.

Potent natural antioxidant enzymes in saliva and sulcular fluid destroy peroxide on contact. The seal created by the precise KöR-Seal™ Whitening Trays seals out damaging saliva and sulcular fluid. This seal, in combination with extended release KöR Whitening gels, results in 6+ hours of active whitening within the KöR-Seal Whitening Trays instead of the typical 20-35 minutes.

KöR’s in-office Dual Activated, Tri-Barrel™ Hydremide® Peroxide is a super-effective proprietary formula. By utilizing three separate barrels instead of the common dual-barrel, Dr. Rod Kurthy was able to add more ingredients to the formulation and allow the use of two distinctly different chemical acceleration systems, resulting in far more effectiveness.

For the first time ever, ALL cases (even super-resistant stains like tetracycline and fluorosis) can be flooded with the concentrations of bleaching factors necessary to ensure an amazing result.
