BISCO Bite Episode 15: Zirconia Contamination & ZirClean

In this BISCO Bite episode, learn how to zap zirconia contamination with ZirClean®. Phosphates can contaminate the zirconia and not allow the primer to bond to the surface, increasing the risk of low bond strength. Alcohol, ultrasonic cleaning or rinsing with water will not be sufficient to remove the phosphates. To remove the saliva phosphates, you'll need a cleaner with the right alkaline pH.

ZirClean® is a cleaning agent designed for non-abrasive cleaning of bonded surfaces of zirconia, ceramic and metal restorations after intraoral try-in. Visit BISCO.com to learn more.
