Neil Park, DMD

Dr. Neil Park is scientific chair of the Glidewell Symposium and Glidewell’s vice president of clinical affairs. After receiving his DMD from Temple University School of Dentistry, he practiced dentistry for 12 years before beginning his career in the dental implant field. Dr. Park has held top leadership positions at companies such as Nobel Biocare and Henry Schein, and he is recognized for his work in the creation and management of innovative programs designed to bring new technology to private practitioners. He joined Glidewell in 2016, where he oversees clinical research & development, as well as training and education programs in implant, restorative and esthetic dentistry. In addition, he serves as editor-in-chief of Chairside® magazine. He is a Diplomate of the International College of Oral Implantologists, a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry and a Fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy.

Jim Glidewell is the founder and president of Glidewell, the world’s largest privately owned provider of restorative dental solutions. In 1970, Mr. Glidewell officially opened his lab to the public. Although his company initially started on his kitchen table, Jim applied a unique combination of technical knowledge, business principles, and marketing philosophies to quickly grow Glidewell into the recognized dental industry leader that it is today.

Glidewell CEO Stephenie Goddard is an executive leader with multidisciplinary experience in organizational development, business strategy, change management, customer experience and digital transformation. She joined Glidewell in 2006 as vice president of human resources, establishing various programs that have served to augment the company’s relentless expansion. In 2019, she established the Guiding Leaders program to empower women dentists throughout the United States in all facets of business and leadership, and the following year she received the Mentor Award from The Lucy Hobbs Project® (Benco Dental Supply Co.; Pittston, Pa.).

BARRY RAPHAEL, DMD

Dr. Barry Raphael received his dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania and his specialty training in orthodontics from Fairleigh Dickinson University. His private practice at the Raphael Center for Integrative Orthodontics in Clifton, New Jersey, focuses on facial growth and the development of a healthy airway. He is a highly sought-after lecturer and is a past president of the Passaic County Dental Society.

JAMISON SPENCER, DMD, M.S.

Dr. Jamison Spencer is a graduate of Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine and earned a Master of Science degree in craniofacial pain from Tufts University. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Craniofacial Pain, American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine and American Board of Craniofacial Dental Sleep Medicine, and he is past president of the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain. He practices in Boise, Idaho, where he is the director of dental sleep medicine for the Center for Sleep Apnea and TMJ.

Dr. Diana Batoon has been practicing dentistry for over 27 years and is a Diplomate with the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine and American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. She practices at her dental practice, Bonita Dental, and a separate sleep practice, Center for Breathing and Sleep Wellness, in Scottsdale, Arizona. After graduating from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, she completed her GPR residency at a veteran’s hospital in Loma Linda, California. She has extensive training in TMJ, full-mouth rehabilitation, CAD/CAM dentistry and implants.

Dr. Meghna Dassani received dental training at the University of Mumbai, India, and the Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. For the past 17 years, her private practice in Houston, Texas, has focused on treating patients with sleep-disordered breathing. She is the author of two books on sleep apnea and the dental practice: “Healthy Sleep, Happy Kids” and “Sleep. Breathe. Dream.”

Ryan Javanbakht earned a degree in psychology from the University of California, Davis. He currently lectures on the topic of sleep testing and airway education. He is the founder, president and CEO of sleeptest.com, a national home sleep testing service established in 2016.

Randy Curran

Randy Curran is the founder and CEO of Pristine Medical Billing. He has helped over 1,000 dental practices optimize the financial side of dental sleep medicine, and he educates dental teams about topics such as proper workflows, medical necessity, documentation requirements and ethical coding. During the past 14 years, Curran has helped obtain medical insurance coverage for over 28,000 patients for the treatment of sleep apnea.

Dr. Bradley Eli graduated from Temple University School of Dentistry and received a Master of Science degree in oral biology from UCLA. Based in Encinitas, California, he is a nationally recognized specialist in orofacial pain management who treats all types of head, neck and jaw pain as well as sleep-disordered breathing. Dr. Eli has served as an educational staff member at Loma Linda University Medical Center, the UC San Diego Department of Anesthesiology and Scripps Memorial Hospital. He also holds several patents for medical devices designed to improve patient care.
Mark Cruz, DDS

Mark Cruz, DDS

Dr. Mark Cruz graduated from UCLA School of Dentistry in 1986. He has served on the National Institute of Health/National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR) Grant Review Committee, as well as the editorial board for the Journal of Evidence-Based Dental Practice. Recently, Dr. Cruz was involved with the ADA taskforce examining pediatric airway health. He has been in private practice in Orange County, California, for over 30 years.

Wilson Schmidt, a registered surgical and extended functions dental assistant, brings 20 years of clinical experience to Glidewell as the manager of the dental clinic and photography editor of Chairside® magazine. He lectures frequently on the topics of digital dentistry, chairside restorative procedures and dental photography.
