The GentleWave® System with CleanFlow™ Technology

There are challenges in root canal treatment that are beyond the reach of the most skilled hands. Uninstrumented spaces. Undetected canals. Multi-species biofilm. Patient pain and anxiety.

Adding the GentleWave® System with CleanFlow™ Technology augments your ability to meet these challenges with ease. The improved CleanFlow Procedure Instrument (PI) is now the only PI you need to treat premolars, molars and anterior teeth with the GentleWave Procedure.

GentleWave G4 System

Beyond irrigation. Beyond clean.

See how the GentleWave System with CleanFlow Technology excels at debridement and disinfection.

Designed to Go the Distance

The GentleWave System takes you beyond canal complexity that can hinder thorough disinfection and debridement.

It starts inside the console, where the irrigant is thoroughly degassed, precisely diluted and continuously refreshed. Next, it enters the sealed closed-loop delivery system, where the system’s physics-accelerated chemistry becomes truly remarkable.

Now the CleanFlow PI and Matrix have been further refined to enable more effective and efficient root canal treatment — on every tooth*.

Controlled Cavitation

As the irrigant reaches the head of the procedure instrument, it passes through a narrow orifice, creating a continuous cavitation cloud of tiny, imploding vapor bubbles.

Multisonic Activation

These implosions create a constant barrage of shockwaves able to physically and chemically disrupt and dissolve pulp, biofilm and other organic and inorganic debris. This is the multsonic energy of the GentleWave System.

Thorough Disinfection

The multisonic energy vibrates throughout the root system unhindered, including fine anatomy, and accelerates the chemistry of the irrigant. This dramatically speeds up debridement1 and disinfection.

Apical Protection

Simultaneously, as the irrigant stream passes over the root canal system opening, vortical flow is created. True to physics, this produces a negative pressure environment2 which guards against apical extrusion.

Refreshed Irrigation

The vortical flow creates tornado-like spirals which descend then rise, lifting debris up and out of the canal, and allowing irrigant to be continuously refreshed.

*The GentleWave Procedure is not indicated for third molars.
