Print With Speed and Versatility

Paul Zhivago, DDS, on SprintRay’s SprintRay Pro

I am a board-certified prosthodontist with a background in implant surgery; my private practice in Westfield, New Jersey, is called DOWNTOWNDENTAL. In addition, I am the digital dentistry course director for the Advanced Education Program in Prosthodontics at the New York University College of Dentistry. I first started 3D printing 7 years ago with a fused filament fabrication printer, then I moved to a stereolithography printer, and now I solely use digital light processing (DLP) printers. It's important to find a DLP printer that permits printing with various resins in order to maximize its use for different dental applications, and selecting one that accepts both STL and OBJ files will allow you to be able to design and export without restrictions. Among other advantages, being able to provide esthetic mockups in 2 hours and a denture or removable device in one day with the SprintRay Pro has changed the way that I do dentistry.

1.The SprintRay Pro can print 8 arches in 30 minutes or less, and the platform can accommodate up to 30 vertical arches.

2. The custom projector in the SprintRay Pro evenly delivers high-intensity light across the build surface for perfect, accurate prints every time.

3. Intuitive touchscreen controls and contextual instructions managed by a 6-core processor make learning curves a thing of the past.

What do you use it for most often?
I print dental models for mock-ups, surgical guides, provisional restorations, and removablefull and partial dentures.

What are the best features?
The versatility and speed. Because it's very fast and accepts many different resins, I can print a lot of different things at a large volume.

Does the printer save you time?
Yes. I don't waste time repairing temporary restorations if there is an issue; I can just print another set to instantly help a patient.
