Safety and Comfort in Compliance

Melissa A. Obrotka, RDH, BA, ICP on Ivory ReLeaf

As an implant care practitioner, it is essential to provide patients with thorough care for long-term success. I utilize aqueous powder streaming (APS) to disrupt biofilm, which provides many benefits, but can pose challenges for the clinician when managing aerosols and water production. In my search to improve care, I discovered the ReLeaf system, which improves the flow of my clinical day, follows CDC compliance with HVE regulations, and enhances patient care.

Ivory® ReLeaf is an innovative, hands-free HVE suction device that conveniently connects to existing dental vacuum systems. ReLeaf assists with evacuation, retraction, and maintaining a dry field during dental and hygiene procedures.

How do patients react?
ReLeaf's mouthpieces are soft and comfortable, and patients can control the suction themselves so they are at ease during procedures.

How does it improve safety?
Utilizing ReLeaf, I know I am minimizing exposure to aerosol  contaminants and backflow, practicing in line with the CDC recommendations for the use of HVE with powered instruments. Also, the hoses are easy to sterilize.

How does it help hygienists?
Dental hygienists are always battling the clock. With the ReLeaf system, they don't have to constantly interrupt procedures to pick up or reposition devices while performing vital tasks.
