ClearCorrect Is Geared Up for a Big Year in 2023

Software improvements, expanded indications, and new educational offerings among key initiatives

The dental community is well aware of the Straumann Group's position as a world-class dental device manufacturer, but 2023 will be the year that ClearCorrect cements its spot in that echelon as well. "We plan to establish ourselves as a trusted partner in orthodontics and level up to the same status for which Straumann's implant brands are known," says Kent Braud, vice president of sales & marketing, ClearCorrect, Straumann Group.

More than half a million patients have already straightened their teeth with ClearCorrect, reaping the benefits of the tri-layered ClearQuartz material and the innovative ClearPilot software. "The two most important elements of a clear aligner product are the effectiveness of the polymer that moves the teeth and the software that the dentists use to treatment plan the cases," Braud continues. "ClearQuartz is a world-class material with two rigid outer layers that provide the ability to more effectiavely move teeth while also helping with stain resistance. A soft inner layer incorporates elasticity to provide flexibility, comfort, and ease of insertion and removal."

Furthermore, ClearPilot 6.0 will be released during the first half of this year, and Braud says that it will improve users' ability to treat more complex cases. "We have significantly upgraded the way in which dentists interface with our patient databases and manage their treatment plans," he says. Additional initiatives for 2023 include helping customers integrate ClearCorrect's digital workflows so that they can build and grow their practices. "We will help them truly differentiate themselves," Braud says.

Of course, Straumann is just as well known for its extensive educational offerings as it is for its quality products, and ClearCorrect plans to raise the bar in that department in 2023 as well. "The typical general dentist does not receive much orthodontic training in dental school, and even among orthodontists, only the relatively recent graduates were taught aligner biomechanics in school," Braud says. "Much of what many dentists learn about aligners is from conferences or through trial and error. We believe that one of our big differentiators is education; therefore, we have detailed, tailored plans for the beginner, intermediate, and advanced clear aligner provider. We also have a team of clinical advisors to help with one-to-one mentoring and case assistance."

With a constantly improving product and exceptional support, ClearCorrect is poised to elevate practice growth and improve patient acceptance for its customers. "We really look for partnerships," Braud says. "Our mission and ultimate end goal is to help new and existing customers grow with our solutions."
