CEREC® Software 4.5

Newly released software is smarter and easier to navigate for both novice and experienced users

CEREC® Software 4.5 elevates the complete, in-house restoration workflow to a new level, so it is now simpler than ever to plan and produce a CEREC restoration. The software’s new special features are easy to find and apply, and it is a clear and well-supported system, making it beneficial for both novice and experienced users alike. Processes that have already been initiated continue to run in the background, therefore the entire procedure is made significantly quicker.

With CEREC Software 4.5, the new open system allows scan data to be exported, providing more options to practitioners.

Dentists experience fewer steps, automatic detection, and maximum precision with CEREC Software 4.5. This new level of simplicity can largely be credited to the incorporation of innovative, intelligent software tools. Compact tool bars displaying all options at a glance decrease the time that practitioners spend searching and scrolling. Furthermore, the addition of the smaller tool window view can help to increase clarity in the design phase.

Many of the steps run automatically. The software automatically detects restorations such as inlays, onlays, crowns, and veneers, and the insertion axis is also defined automatically. Based on the Biojaw algorithm, the biogeneric initial proposals have been further improved to improve safety and security and impeccably match the patient’s needs.

When assessing the tooth color, the software uses the “Shade Analysis” function to the tooth color as a Vita Classic or Vita 3D Master shade. Overall, these features allow the dentist to make an even more reliable assessment of the intraoral situation.

Now, preparing the restoration takes two steps instead of four. The model axis is set and the preparation margin is entered using an automatic margin finder. After checking the occlusal and proximal contacts of the desired restoration, the milling and grinding process can begin. Because of the supplemental refined milling strategy, the fit of the final restorations produced has been improved as well.

Additionally, the CEREC 4.5 software integrates zirconia “Meso Blocks” into the complete CEREC zirconia workflow. This allows for the precise dry milling of abutment solutions using high-quality, solid zirconia. The final sintering process in the CEREC SpeedFire takes only a few minutes, which means that the complete zirconia implant prosthesis can be completed in a single visit.
