The sophisticated Ceramill Motion 2 from Amann Girrbach is a compact, precision-engineered, hybrid dental CNC milling machine that combines five-axis milling and grinding technology, in both wet and dry applications. This enhanced flexibility allows the lab to perform almost every fabrication process in-house, such as the dry milling of wax and zirconia crowns and bridges, plus custom milled one-piece bars. Utilizing the Ceramill Mind Software’s open platform, the Motion 2 can accept .stl files and precisely mill any imported milled bar design.
The Motion 2 is also capable of handling an even greater range of materials and indications including the dry milling of Amann Girrbach’s new non-precious alloy Sintron® (CrCo-Soft), the wet milling of PMMA, as well as the wet grinding of glass ceramics. This level of flexibility combined with 5-axis milling accuracy, makes the Motion 2 exceptionally versatile and is designed to help the lab improve both clinical accuracy and cost effectiveness.
