Positive Reviews Keep Patients Coming

CS 9300 3D digital imaging system drives Levine's treatment success

Robert Levine, DDS, has grown the Pennsylvania Center for Dental Implants and Periodontics by offering high-quality, patient-centered, restorative-driven care since 1984. "We have become successful one patient and one referral at a time," Levine says.

However, referrals are different than they were in 1984, and Levine and his partner Philip L. Fava II, DMD, have evolved with the times. They maintain an interactive website that exhibits more than 400 clinical cases and have received nearly 1,600 five-star, online reviews.

"We have become somewhat internet-driven," Levine says. "Google helps to generate a large portion of our patient base."

The practice has evolved with digital dentistry as well, enhancing its diagnostic and treatment capabilities with a CS 9300 3D digital imaging system. A versatile, multimodal imaging system from Carestream Dental, the CS 9300 offers a selectable field of view that ranges from 5 cm × 5 cm to 17 cm × 13.5 cm. It features panoramic, 3D, and optional cephalometric imaging capabilities and produces images of up to 90 μm in resolution.

"A large part of what I do is immediate implant placement in the esthetic zone. From single teeth to complete arches, most require very complex ridge reconstructions," Levine says. "The CS 9300 enables me to virtually plan my cases with quality imagery for the diagnosis of anatomical structures and measurement of the buccal plate, which is a critical component for immediate implant placement in the esthetic zone."

Levine uses the CS 9300 in combination with Carestream Dental's CS 3600 intraoral scanner to to facilitate a fully guided treatment workflow.

"The CS 3600 captures impressions quickly and easily, and when combined with the cone-beam computed tomography provided by the CS 9300, this technology enables us to utilize a fully guided workflow for screw-retained restorations that is 100% restorative driven," he says. "The merging of the DICOM and STL files is seamless, which provides accurate planning for surgical guides that can significantly reduce the total procedural time for the patient."

As it always has for Levine, exceptional treatment leads to more business.

"Patients continue to come to our practice based on our incredible reviews," Levine says. "Our state-of-the-art equipment helps ensure that those reviews remain positive."
